Supporting parents with home schooling for maths
All our home school parents become part of our amazing online Parents’ Academy where we provide support and guidance for supporting your child with all areas of home schooling, including their maths program.
Through videos, seminars and Q&A sessions parents have a wealth of information at their fingertips to help support children as they study.
Sometimes when running a home school parents can get overwhelmed and feel like perhaps their own level is not enough to give their child the support they need in a particular subject. The Parents’ Academy is there to empower parents, providing the top-up understanding you sometimes need to get your child the maximum level of support.
The Parents Academy is really our secret weapon! It gives parents that extra support they need to construct the curriculum they envision, allowing them to spend more time connecting with their children.

We have short courses giving parents an overview of the different topics and skills in maths, how to teach and monitor your child’s application of mathematical story telling, how to navigate a GCSE and A-Level exam paper and mark scheme and of course, how to supervise marking itself. We also provide tips on how to build mathematical resilience in young people and nurture their interest in associated topics such as engineering or architecture.
Throughout the year, our tutors in the maths departments deliver seminars for parents to provide guidance and support, particularly as our students approach national exams.
With all of this, our parents can feel supported as they construct for their children an encouraging learning environment, that empowers and stretches them in equal measure.
