ICT and Computer Science
Fluency in computer software and languages has become essential to excelling in any profession. Our rigorous programmes aim to empower students with the skills to take full advantage of the opportunities that computing technologies offer.
In the Lower School, the focus will be jointly on developing software skills and on beginning to nurture computational, logic and problem-solving skills. Students will learn how to use word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and graphic manipulation software, becoming able to confidently express their ideas using computing tools. They will also begin to study foundational computer science concepts.
In the Upper School, students will work towards and iGCSE in Computer Science which will allow students to develop their programming and problem-solving skills. By tackling increasingly complex programming problems, students will dive into the intricacies of writing powerful programming code.
This practical and innovative course aims to empower students to develop confidence and resilience in their engagement with computer systems, giving them the skills to use computer technology to bring to fruition their ideas for the world.
