This subject stream is centred around the physical and technical world, giving students the skills they need to master mathematics, science and physical geography.
The emphasis is on honing the scientific method, learning to work in systematic ways to master large concepts. The emphasis is also on experimentation, sending students out into the world to understand it better from practical experience.
Mastery is the key in this subject stream; students are taken through concepts from first principles and encouraged to aim for deep, rather than fleeting, understanding of the topics covered. Students will learn the art of mathematical and scientific storytelling, learning to appreciate the importance of logical thinking and logical writing. They will also be pushed to get comfortable with technical language, and encouraged to seek specificity and clarity in their work.
Through this stream, students can work towards iGCSEs in Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Geography.

Physical and Life Sciences
The study of science and the mastery of the scientific method is important to the development of forward-thinking young people. Our science programme is dynamic and engaging, finding at every turn opportunities for young people to learn by direct interaction with the world around them.
Our biology programme brings to life this vital and thrilling science. Students will learn, among other things, about innovations in the biological sciences including advancements in health care. We aim to instil in students a solid understanding of the ideas that govern the living world, while teaching them how to have a respect for its fragility.
Our chemistry programme aims to develop in students a thorough understanding of the chemical world and a mastery of the mathematics that underpins it. Students will learn the nature and behaviour of the chemical building blocks of society, understanding the materials around them and how we can manipulate their properties for our use.
Our physics programme aims to expose young people to the laws governing our interaction with the physical world, nurturing their curiosity about the limits of the physical world and our ability to push past these. As with chemistry, the mathematical aspects of this course are given appropriate consideration, allowing students to build confidence in their exploration of the subject.

Exploring ecosystems, geology, climate, glaciation, hydrology and physical formations, this subject is essential to bridging the gap between human geographies and physical sciences, places the ideas introduced in both into their real world contexts.
